This Privacy Policy explains what information Cited (“Cited,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our service at www.citedai.app, and how we use, share, and protect it.

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and any name or profile details you provide.
Business information. To run AI visibility checks, we collect the business details you provide: business name, city, category, website, and any questions you generate or edit. This information is used to run checks and is also sent to third-party AI providers as described in Section 3.
Contact form submissions. If you submit our contact form, we collect whatever you enter (name, email, message) to respond to your inquiry.
Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are visited and general traffic patterns. Google may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and browser information as part of this service. Usage data. We log activity like check runs, questions generated, and reports viewed, to operate and improve the service.

We may retain records related to a suspected violation of our Terms of Service (Acceptable Use) for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate and address it.
