These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cited (“Cited,” “we,” “us”), available at www.citedai.app. By creating an account or using Cited, you agree to these Terms.
Cited is currently operated by an individual, not a registered company. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” throughout these Terms refer to that individual operator.
If you don't agree, please don't use Cited.
Cited tracks whether and how your business appears in AI-generated answers from third-party AI engines (currently Perplexity, Google Gemini, and ChatGPT), and provides related analysis, reports, and recommendations.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Business names registered on Cited must be unique on our platform; we may ask you to modify a submission that conflicts with an existing one.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where we reasonably believe immediate action is necessary to prevent harm to Cited, other users, or third parties.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator of Cited from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: your misuse of Cited, your violation of these Terms, content or business information you submit, or your violation of any third party's rights. This protects the operator specifically in situations where another user's actions (not the operator's) cause harm or give rise to a claim.
Cited relies on third-party AI engines (Perplexity, Gemini) and AI-generated analysis (via Claude) to produce scores, insights, action plans, and recommendations. AI outputs can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect — including about your own business or your competitors.
Cited's reports and recommendations are informational and do not guarantee any business outcome. You're responsible for verifying and using your own judgment before acting on any insight, and Cited is not liable for decisions made based on its output.

Paid plans (Starter and Professional) are available via our checkout, powered by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record for all transactions — they process payments, handle tax compliance, and issue receipts on our behalf. By subscribing, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service in addition to these Terms. See our Privacy Policy for more on how payment data is handled.
We may change plan pricing or features going forward; where required, we'll provide notice before changes take effect for existing subscribers.
Cited, its name, logo, design, and underlying technology are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works of Cited's branding, design, or technology, or use Cited's name or logo without our written permission. You retain ownership of the business data and content you submit; you grant us a license to use it as needed to operate the service (e.g., sending it to AI engines to run your checks).
We aim to keep Cited available and accurate but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Cited depends on third-party AI providers; if one of those providers is unavailable or changes its service, some Cited features may be temporarily degraded or unavailable, and we're not liable for issues caused by third-party outages.
You may stop using Cited and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where practical.
Cited is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Cited, including business decisions made based on our reports.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cited regarding your use of the service, and supersede any prior agreements on this subject. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
We may update these Terms as Cited evolves. We'll update the “Last updated” date, and for material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you.
